Shopping & stuff

So I've mentioned before and I'll mention it again... if you haven't noticed yet, the holiday shopping season is upon us and this is good news for me because, well.... if you haven't heard, I make a living off of this sort of spending money stuff.

I've been working my butt off the past few weeks adding designs to all 3 of my stores, mainly SledderWear, because, well... it's not just the holiday season - its' the snowmobile season and those whacked out people who like to ride those things also like to brag that they do in the form of t-shirts and stuff.

Which, of course, is more good news for me.
I was telling the husband the other day that this is the best of both worlds for me - I can make money making fun of him! Because, as you might have heard, the husband is one of those whacked out snowmobile dudes, too.

And he tends to be my best customer!

So in my plea to you - if you must spend money this holiday season, do it at my stores! (the links are over to the right somewhere... there's even a fancy search thing that you should try out!) I even do personalizations, in case you haven't heard.

I have designs from snowmobiling to fishing to scrapbooking to parenting to teenage stuff to tv stuff to things I still can't figure out why people buy.

Shopping & such

Well I'll be headed out here in about 1/2 hour to join the mad rush of Black Friday shoppers. I hate shopping, I hate crowds but somehow I get roped into doing this every year. Even the husband told me I had to go because "you never go do anything". Whatever. Good news is is that we are hitting the Walmart in a not-so-much shopped town and word was last year it wasn't busy at all. I should be back by noon though... LOL (then I gotta get reading the Thursday Thunks from yesterday!)

I Quit T-shirt Designing

I Quit Snowmobiling
Your sledding buddies will get a laugh out of this one when they see "I quit snowmobiling" but then see that it actually says "I quit my job so I could do more snowmobiling".

I hate having days like this. I can't think of anything to design. I made this one, but it's only because I saw a similar quote on another site. It said "I quit ________ dancing".

But now I'm stuck. My mind is completely blank and I should be pushing out designs like crazy with Christmas coming up. But I can't. It's like a writers block sort of thing.

Throw me a bone - what should I design today?

I just hate days like this.

Typical Monday.

Ok I did one for scrapbooking, too. I Quit Scrapbooking I really am bored today and not very creative.

Deer & guns & t-shirts, OH MY!

It must be the leaves falling... the red, orange & yellow all over the ground.
Maybe it's the cooler temps or maybe it's the pickup trucks with people in camo driving around.

It's hunting season.

And I just can't seem to do any designs besides hunting lately. It's kinda sad. Anytime I open my graphics program to work I want to open up deer and gun images.

The husband is going hunting this year - it's been a few years. Someday I'll go again.... not this year though. I'll just stay home and make deer hunting tshirts.

Thursday Rambles

So I dropped $25 on a month of advertising over at MomBloggers for InsanityWear.com (thats my store!). It will be interesting to see if I get any sales... much less hits from it. Maybe I just threw $25 out the window, who knows.

Did a RSS feed of the forums to here today, too. Maybe that will bring someone over. Now you can look over to the right side of this page and see if anything we ramble about interests you - then go there and ramble about it yourself. Then play in the arcade because it's the cool thing to do.

The husband called me at 6:30 this morning, got my ass out of bed... I was comfortable, too... to tell me that the cops were on a manhunt for some dude right outside of town at 4am. Helicopters with search lights and everything. I missed all the excitement. Still haven't heard anything else about it though. Gotta remember, I live in a small town - things like this are like government takeover type news.

I guess I didn't miss all the excitement... I had a dream last night that I got married and then realized... shit, I'm already married! So I was trying to figure out how to get unmarried to the 2nd guy before the cops found out.

... the 2nd guy was Jason. It was so fricken weird. Never did figure out who the 1st husband was. I wonder if it was Mel Gibson?

My feet are being warmed up by a golden furry blanket. I knew she'd be good for something.

Why am I doing this? I really don't know.

Naughty Thinking this morning

Guess I was thinking a little naughty this morning... I worked fairly long on these two snowmobile t-shirt designs, which I normally don't do (at least not as long as I did.) But anyway, here are the results -

New Pet Bowls at the store - quick, go look!

Just a quickie note to say that we now have pet bowls available at InsanityWear.com & SledderWear.com!!!
Each of our designs is available on either the small or large pet bowl. Ok, so not all the designs "make sense" for a dog or cat... but hey, who am I to say they don't look good printed on it, right?

I'm thinking these could even be considered at water dishes for reptiles! How sweet would that be? Or rabbits... or ferrets... I guess that's why they are called "pet" bowls and not "feline" or "canine" bowls.

Of course, as always, we'll personalize for ya! You can bet that Saki & Chico will be getting their own personalized bowls! Spoiled brats that they are.

Speaking of Saki... think a quick good thought for her today. She had "the surgery" today. (she done got spayed!) I am a responsible pet owner, hear me roar! No puppies for my Saki-girl! I called the vet already (did you expect less?) and she did great... made it through surgery fine and is resting.

.... all alone in a cage by herself...

She has an e-collar on, so I bet she's just pissed off! It's one of those cone-head things so she can't bite at her stitches. You can bet there will be embarrassing pics of her on here tomorrow! I can pick her up anytime after 9am tomorrow. I can't wait!

.... because she'll be all alone in a cage all by herself all night long.....

Ok, yes, I have issues. I HATE leaving my animals overnight at a vet. The cats I won't leave. Saki I did just because of how big & hyper she is and I don't know that I can keep her quiet, calm and rested so soon after surgery. They say they keep them overnight for "observation". Tell me... who is there all night long to observe them? That's my point. Nobody is. So if she tears her stitches at 11pm tonight and is bleeding all over the place, nobody will be there to see it until 6:30tomorrow morning.

I know, I need to let this go. She'll be fine.

Right?

Anyway... go buy a pet bowl.

Asking, pleading, crying out for help!

So if you are a regular reader here, you know I run 2 online stores and thats, like, my job. Sometimes that job actually takes up so much of my time that I forget about this blog! Really, it happens.

Well, now is one of those times and as I'm sitting here asking the dogs for help with ideas and where I should go now I'm realizing that they really are no help to me and I need real ideas and real help! So HELP ME! Please.

Over the next couple months I have to "break up" my InsanityWear.com store into at least one more store. I might do two more, maybe three... thats where I'm stuck. Should I open a "Quotes & Sayings" store and move all my quotes-type designs over to that, should I open a "Fishing & Rec" store and move those types of designs over.... I don't know what the best thing to do is!

Sad thing is, I have to move something to a new store, there is no way around it. Basically, InsanityWear is too big and I have to downsize it, but I'm not deleting anything, just creating a new store(s).

So... please, if you have the time or you are over there shopping & such... could you please help a girl out and give me ideas, opinions... that sort of thing?

I just am not sure the best route to take here. Sometimes I have a hard time looking at my own stores as a "shopper", so if you have any ideas...

School Bus Adventure

Made this design this morning for a friend of mine who is a school bus driver and has her school bus driving adventures everyday! She loves it... don't know why, but she does. Funny thing is, she didn't start driving bus until both of her kids were graduated from high school! She went with me last night to the Pet First Aid/CPR class and told me about a t-shirt with a similar saying on it and wanted me to make her one... so here it is.

Don't really like the design now that I look at it, but I'm leaving it anyway. Going to do a few more I think today.....
