Manic Monday - Love and chocolate.

What is your favorite candy?
Anything with peanut butter that is covered with milk chocolate. Notice I said milk chocolate.... dark chocolate either goes in the trash or the husband eats it.

Name one thing that you'd want to receive as a gift for Valentine's day.
Something simple. I pointed out a chocolate rose to the husband yesterday. Thats all I need. Or a card. Forget the overpriced, already dying roses that everyone seems to think they are supposed to give/get. Chocolate & a card, thats all I need.

... and a rib eye dinner.

Can we truly love someone who loves another?
I think you can, but what does it get you? Not a whole lot. I honestly believe that you don't "choose" who you fall in love with... it just happens. And it's usually someone that is complete opposite of what you thought you would fall in love with. Love is a strange thing... how can you love someone who other people don't even like? It's not an on & off switch.
If the person you love doesn't love you back... or even circumstances don't allow you to fulfill that love... it's still love. If you still feel that flutter in your heart when you see them and your knees get weak and you start shaking, even if they don't belong to you, it's still love. It's proof it exists.

I will never be able to watch a Mel Gibson movie with a steady heartbeat. It's proof, people, proof!

But seriously... yes, you can. Love is love, no matter what happens with it.

Blogs Hunting Volcanos While Dealing With Angry Celebs Eating Pickles And Much More!

Wow I suck. I haven't blogged for a week. A whole fricken week. Nevermind the fact that there really wasn't anything to blog about, but is there ever really?

Although, I just read that they found a fossil of a snake that was big enough to eat a cow and probably ate crocs for snacks. Thats a big damn snake! Could you imagine that mofo coming after you in a field? I'd crap my pants.

So it's Thursday... ok, I lied. It's Wednesday. Night. But I'm posting this for tomorrow, but I'm publishing it today. None of that made any sense, did it? Well it'd be awful silly for me not to do the meme I do with Kimber. I got out of doing it this week, because it was Kimber's turn. So if you play and you think the questions suck, don't blame me - I didn't do it.

Onto the good stuf.

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Kimber, the color Red and the number 82.

1. What is one of your favorite blogs to read? Why is it your favorite?
  • Kimber & Melissa's. Because they are my best friends and sometimes thats the only way I know how things are going on thier lives. And as I was getting the link to Melissa's blog I just realized she had a baby a month ago! Holy shit! What a way to find out about my best friend's baby!!!! How rude!
2. Have you ever been hunting?
  • Yeah, you got a problem with that? I hunted squirrels and deer. Never shot a thing though.
3. Do you live near any active volcanos?
  • Not that I'm aware of.
4. If VH1 came out with a new reality show called Celebrity Anger Management, who would you most like to see on the show?
  • Depends. Who's on it?
5. Would you drink horse's milk if offered?
  • My initial thought is FRICKEN GROSS ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? But then again, if I never had cows milk I'd probably feel the same way.
6. Do you buy pickles? If so, what do you do with the juice after all the pickles are gone?
  • Drink it. Doesn't everyone?
7. Do you have a myspace or Facebook account?
  • Both, but I only use Facebook. Religiously. Addiction-type behavior.
8. Facial hair on men, yea or nay?
  • Have you met my husband? What do you think?
9. Do you know anyone personally who is stockpiling stuff for WWIII or a date they think will be the end of the world (i.e. 12/2012)?
  • No. Are there people out there who are?
10. Have you downloaded Skype and use it?
  • Yes and yes. Would you like to add me?? Today I found out my webcam can make me look like I'm an alien.
11. Have you ever been stuck by cacti?
  • Yes.
12. Do you still have packed boxes from your last move you have yet to unpack? If so, how long have they been there?
  • Nope... that was 10 years ago. If there is some, they should be thrown out without looking at the contents because obviously I haven't needed any of it.
13. Ever have a toxic friend you had to break ties with to save your sanity?
  • Two of them, different times in my life. I breathe much easier without the toxins in my body.

FYI: Yes... I knew Missy had her baby! I was there the day after!!!!!!!

Alone, video games, food, windows, garages & mental disorders

This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Berleen, the color purple and the number 6.

1. Have you ever felt alone, but yet there are people around you?
Yep, quite a bit, actually, and it's probably one of the strangest feelings.
2. Do you have any video game consoles? Which ones?
We have a Wii and an XBox.
3. Do you freak out at food warnings/outbreaks, such as the recent peanut butter salmonella scare?
Usually not, but a bag of Walmarts PBCups sat in my cupboard for 3 days after I bought it... I couldn't believe I was afraid to eat them. I got a stomach ache from them too, but it was just because I ate 1/2 the bag at one sitting.
4. What color/pattern is your beds' comforter/bedspread?
A real pretty blue.... kinda the same blue color in the ocean of that window picture. It's faded, has some muddy dog print stains and a few holes.
5. How many windows do you have in your house?
13 ... thats not good
6. Name six things that are in your bathroom.
hair dryer, contact lens case, rugs, a trapdoor into the cubby hole under the bathroom, girly monthly items and air freshner.
7. How big is your garage? Should it be bigger?
it's a 2 car garage + some room. It's never big enough.
8. Got your taxes done yet?
Nope. Still waiting on stuff.
9. Think of a mental disorder..... why did you think of that particular one?
Social Phobia... because it's near & dear to my heart.

Sunday Stealing: The Sassy Meme

Sunday Stealing: The Sassy Meme
1. If you could say anything you wanted to say to George Bush, what would you say?
  • Hello? I have no idea. Never really had the interest in saying anything to him.
2. If you had to be the mother of Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan, who would you choose and why?
  • Britney Spears - because she's starting to get her life back on track it seems, so it'd be less hassle at this point.
3. You get to be Queen for a day. The kids are all taken care of, and you can spend as much money as you want. What do you do all day?
  • I hate these questions. I'm not a "go do stuff" kind of girl. Can't I just sit home? And I hate to spend money, especially on myself, so I wouldn't know what to do. Oh wait... I know. I'd go buy all the stuff to come back home and build my husband a bigger garage, buy him a new Rev snowmobile that he wants... fill Demon #1's room with everything elephants & fish that I can find.... buy every gaming system that is out there and every Sonic game to go with them for Demon #2.... a bunch of new dog toys for the dogs.... So I guess I'd shop all day and come home and set up the surprises.
4. Is there a song that brings tears to your eyes every time you hear it? If so, which one?
  • You Can Let Go - Crystal Shawanda - I fricken lose it everytime its' on. This frucking song should be banned from the radio.
Wind blowin' on my face
Sidewalk flyin' beneath my bike
A five year-old's first taste
Of what freedom's really like
He was runnin' right beside me
His hand holdin' on the seat
I took a deep breath and hollered
As I headed for the street

You can let go now, Daddy
You can let go
Oh, I think I'm ready
To do this on my own
(It's still) (It still feels) a little bit scary
But I want you to know
I'll be okay now, Daddy
You can let go

I was standin' at the altar
Between the two loves of my life
To one I've been a daughter
To one I soon would be a wife
When the preacher asked,
'Who gives this woman?'
Daddy's eyes filled up with tears
He kept holdin' tightly to my arm
'Til I whispered in his ear

(Repeat Chorus)

It was killin' me to see
The strongest man I ever knew
Wastin' away to nothin'
In that hospital room
'You know he's only hangin' on for you'
That's what the night nurse said
My voice and heart were breakin'
As I crawled up in his bed, and said

You can let go now, Daddy
You can let go
Your little girl is ready
To do this on my own
It's gonna be a little bit scary
But I want you to know
I'll be okay now, Daddy
You can let go
You can let go

5. A fairy taps you on the shoulder and tells you that you can either have a perfect face or a perfect body for the rest of your life. Which do you choose?
  • Ha ha! Are you serious? Ok, I'll play. So I guess my face isn't so bad, so I'll go with the perfect body. Nobody ever looks at your face anyway.
6. If you could live any place in the world and money was no object, where would you live and why?
  • Montana
7. What is your biggest regret in life?
  • that I ran away from the hospital window on the last day that I saw my mom. I don't know why I regret it, it would have still been the last day I saw her. I was 7 years old... what did I know? But I only stayed long enough for her to see me, wave and poof... I was gone.
8. If you could go back and visit one person in your life who is now dead, and ask one question, what would that question be and why would you ask it?
  • Ya know, I cheated. I already read Kimber's answer so I'm going to copy hers. My mom. And I'd ask her about her life, too, because.... like Kimber said... it would be the longest answer ever.
9. If you had the choice to age forward (like we are now) or aging backwards (think Benjamin Buttons) which would you choose and why?
  • Either way you end up eating baby food and wearing diapers, so whats the difference?
10. What will the epitaph on your headstone say?
  • The what? WTF is a epitaph? The words? I suppose it's words because what else can "say" something? Heck if I know what they'll say.... probably something about being goofy, I'm sure. All I can say though is there better be a fricken picture of a cat & a golden retriever on it next to my name or someone's going to get their asses haunted.

The Mom Song

This has got to be one of the best things I've heard in years!

Sock eating monsters, Big Love and .... well, love.

I just don't get it. Where do they go? Seriously! Out of one load of laundry there are 8 socks with no matches. Unreal. Of course, the demons don't know where they are and they are real good about throwing the blame my way; "I threw them down with the other laundry". As if I take their socks and shove them under MY bed or something so that later I can chew their asses about it. Yeah, sure. I have better things to do with my life than bitch and them and look for fricken socks.

I made Demon #1 check her room and the computer room... she found 5 of the unmatched culprits.

Threw them down with the rest, huh? Yeah, ok.

Last night was the season premier of Big Love on HBO. Might I add; FINALLY! We've only been waiting forever for this show to pick back up. The first thing I noticed was that Margene had her baby... the last we heard she had just gotten pregnant, but I suppose you can't be pregnant for 2 years. Yeah, 2 years we've been waiting for it to come back on.
I never realized how much I missed the show until last night. It was so good to see it again. They are going in so many different directions with storylines... it's gonna be a good season!
I know this isn't a very popular show. Kimber is the only other person other than myself that I know that watches it. I don't care... I've always seemed to like shows that nobody ever does anyway.
It shows the good side of polygamy and the bad... last night they protrayed the "lost boys" - the older boys that are sent away from polygamy compounds because they are within age to start "stealing" the potential wives for higher up men. It's something very real that happens with this lifestyle, but not talked about at all.
The good side is what draws me in... the friendship between the sister wives. Although I could never share a husband, the thought of having women around to talk to, share things with... that intriques me.
Although I got to thinking last night that if I was in the same boat as Anna, the possible "4th wife" that the family is starting to date, it might be easier to get into... other than the place that Barb, the 1st wife, was in when Bill married Nikki. Barb & Bill had been married for quite some time and she didn't have to share him - and had no intenetions to until Nikki came along. To share what had been yours and only yours would be hard, but I think to share what you share from the beginning wouldn't be as hard.
Did that make sense?

Anyway, watch the show. It rocks.

Speaking of love - Valentines Day is just around the corner. I've made some V-day designs for whoever wants them... you can get them here.

and hey... pass it on to your friends! They claim word-of-mouth advertising is the best kind!
Oh... and for you snowmobilers, I made some snowmobile valentine's too!

Speaking of my shops & designs... believe it or not I spent almost my entire Sunday yesterday remodeling TheFishingBowl. Feel free to tell me what you think!

Ok, so enough of my rambling and advertising :)
