So yeah, it's a holiday weekend. 4th of July... Independence Day... whatever you want to call it. What are you doing on July 5th?

Have you ever known anyone who has been kidnapped?
Actually, no. But yesterday, 20-some years later, they have gone back to the scene of a kidnapping 15 miles from me. I hope they find closure this time.

Probably nothing. He just deserves a random kick in the ass occasionally.
There is a cockroach, a tarantula and a mouse in the room - which one do you kill first?
The cockroach... the mouse I'd try to catch and feed it to my snake and the tarantula can stay until someone else goes near it.

Days of our Lives paid tribute to Francis Reid/Alice Horton this week (Francis, the actress, died in February, Alice (the character) died last week). She was 91 years old and was portrayed as a smart, witty, funny, loving, always gave the best advice type woman. Wonderful mother, grandmother, friend... many characters (and cast members) commented on how they strive to be the type of woman she was. Is there someone in your life that you strive to be like?
My husband's grandma. She is the perfect woman. She spends every minute worrying about everyone else but herself. You have to force her to sit down to eat because she would rather make sure everyone has everything they need... she sends cards to every single grandchild and great grandchild. She's amazing.
Do you attend parades?
One goes by my house every summer... I have lots of friends & family in my yard. It's kinda fun.
If Berleen were to purchase three 10-gallon tubs of the peanut butter that they use at Dairy Queens, would you think any less of her?
I'll let you know if I decide to. I found out where to get it, but it only comes in three 1-gallon tubs. I guess I screwed up on that question, huh? And I hate to piss those off who answered you would have to roll me down the street... I don't gain weight.

1. It became officially summer on Monday. What's your favorite part of winter?
When it warms up. Winter sucks. It's too cold. Not one good thing about winter... well, except it makes my hubby happy.
2. What was your worst summer vacation ever?
When I was a teenager I had to go to Washington state where my parents were. It wasn't my parents that was bad, it was just fricken boring.
3. Kimber's husband just got the dream job that he's hoped for. So a big shout out to her and Anthony! Tell us about the best job that you ever had.
The last one... when I was a front desk clerk at a Country Inn & Suites. It was fun and I loved the people!

The year before my mom died... even though I was only 7 I'd try really hard to remember every single thing about her.

9. I recently read that the music industry continues to decline at an alarming rate. In the last year it said the sales of Michael Jackson's and The Beatles' music are the only artists who sales continue to climb. The article stated that the two are holding up the industry. Have you bought a CD or mp3 of either artist recently?
I was with Demon #1 the other day when she bought Miley Cyrus' new CD does that count? Elvis isn't still selling stuff?

E is for elephant. My Demon #1 is obsessed with them. Has been all of her life. When she was little she found out that a baby elephant weighs 150lbs at birth. She would ask everyone if they knew this and when they didn't, she would say "well you're not smart". Funny how she can never remember the answer now so I get to tell her she's not smart!
F is for the word I use far too often.
G is for going to the lake - my favorite thing to do.
H is for homemade, which is what I'm trying to do more often now to help my family lose weight. If they weighed as much as a baby elephant I could go back to Hamburger Helper.

W is for my maiden name. I might have given it up when I took the H name, but I will always be a W in my heart.

Wordless Wednesday I think... which I don't do anymore. Heck, I don't even know if it's even around.

4. It is about time that Berleen and Kimber meet in person. Should we start a collection to fly one of them to the other, or just hope Thom's bus and get from Hawaii to Kimber in Arizona and take her to Berleen in Minnesota?

Chico. After how many years of this idiot wearing a diaper because he can't figure out not to piss in the house - I wouldn't miss him very much.

1. What are your fears about waking up in the morning? not waking up...
   
2. What are your fears about working? well, in my line of work, which is graphic design and owning online shops (http://www.insanitywear.com) my fear is that my designs suck and nobody will buy them...
   
3. What are your fears about riding the bus? First off I'd be afraid of why I was on a bus and then I'd wonder what would happen if the bus went under 50mph.
   
4. What are your fears about driving a car? oh cripes. What aren't my fears? Is the tire going to go flat.. is it running too warm... what if a deer jumps out... what if this bridge I'm crossing collapses (whew... I'm over it)... what if I crash and nobody knows.... what if I get pulled over, did I put the new insurance card in.... what if when I get there I can't find the place or a place to park..... You don't want to be in my head when I'm driving a car.

Sunday Stealing: The Fandom Meme

Rules: We all are fans. Be it Star Trek or Twilight, you are a fan of something. Pick a subject, book, TV or movie series. Now tell us all about it! Does it have to be all about the same one? If it does, well... too bad.

1. The first character I fell in love with: Bo Duke. I was a preteen with a huge crush... and I was crushed to find out that he was doing a Christmas special in Sun Valley, Idaho when we lived out there and my parents wouldn't take me to see him! He was, and still is, the only blonde that I admit to being in love with. There was just something about the way he slid across that car.....
... and then I found out he could sing! I was hooked.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Carly from iCarly. Teenage show, I know, but I get stuck watching them. I hated that show & the character when it first came out... I even hated her on Drake & Josh. But she grew on me and now I really like her. I guess I wouldn't say love, but thats the first character that came to mind.

3. The character I would shag anytime: Did I mention Bo Duke? Ok, well... how about Martin Riggs from Lethal Weapon???

4. The character I'd slap: any one of those stupid bimbos who goes looking at what that sound is when they know a psycho killer is on the loose in horror movies.

5. Who are my 3 favorite characters. Ayla from Clan of the Cave Bear, Laura from Little House on the Prairie and Mr. Snuffalupagus from Sesame Street.
