Another snow day

Woke up to more snow this morning... I don't know how much we got since yesterday morning, but it was a mom-walk-around-with-a-camera kind of morning! Just wait 'till the demons get outside!

Do you have an opinion OR NOT?

I belong to quite a few message boards/forums. I guess you could call me a forum addict, really. And just like with anything else, I have my pet peeves. I guess this one doesn't really have to be just forum centered, I don't know.

I cannot stand it when you have an opinion about something and you want others opinions on it and they come back with, "well, it's their choice if they want to do that or not", or something with the same meaning.

I know people have choices and I know people have their own lives, but I also have an opinion and if I want to say what I think they are doing is bullshit in my mind, I'm going to say it. I don't care if it's their choice - I think their choice is WRONG.

Lets take attachment parenting - hey, to those of you who do it - more power to you, BUT! I think it is the biggest crock of doo-doo out there. Sure, you have a right to do it, but I also have the right to think and say that you are out of your mind.

I just get so tired of people wasting other people's time with a comment like "it's their choice". Don't waste my reading space - either you think it's right or you think it's wrong. We all know "it's their choice", we aren't idiots, do you have to use up my time reminding me of that? Arrrggg!!!!

I know, it's sort of pathetic that this pisses me off, but it does. Reading post after post of someone either saying that and nothing else or ending every one of their posts with that is so fricken irritating to me.

Reading this, I sound like a moron myself and I really didn't make any sense, did I ? LOL!

Before-and-after pictures of the woman, her face severely deformed, have been featured in the press along withd her account of frightened children who ran away at the sight of her.

Sebire learnt in 2002 that she had developed an esthesioneuroblastoma, an uncommon malignant tumour in the nasal cavity, which she said had led to 'atrocious' suffering.

'In 2000, I lost the sense of smell and taste... and I lost my sight in October 2007,' she said in the television interview.

'One would not allow an animal to go through what I have endured,' she said before urging President Nicolas Sarkozy to intervene and grant her request."

I believe that the one thing a person truly has to call their own is their own life. I've heard the arguments that your life effects others and, yes, that is true... but after all is said and done it is still YOUR life. YOU have to live with the consequences of your actions, YOU have to live with your health, YOU have to live with your looks. Simple as that.

Law or no law - laws were made by mankind, they can be changed by mankind. A law is not written in gold.

Day #62 - The Million Dollar Question

Today is Day #62 of being smoke-free.

*pats self on back*

I stopped taking the Chantix. I was sick of the sour stomach. I'll take one every now & then if I'm having a craving really bad, but I don't think it's the pill changing the craving. I think it just puts my mind at ease.

So I've been asked a few times.... have you gained weight since you quit smoking?

Well... for those of you who know me in real life and haven't seen me in awhile.... sit down.

Seriously, sit down. You'll want to.

Let me first tell a story to those of you who don't know me. I was 140lbs when I graduated high school. All muscle weight. My parents bought me a trampoline when I was 10 or something... and being a bored teenager with friends who didn't have a trampoline - it was our "hang out spot". Anyway... when I got pregnant at 21 with Demon #1 I threw away all my size 9 jeans. I mean, who is ever going to get back into those after a baby, right?

I'm glad I threw them away because I was right... they didn't fit me anymore. 3 months after Taryn was born, they were too big.

Yes, too big.

I had gone down to a size 5.

I got preggo with Demon #2 and threw away my size 5 jeans. I mean, who is ever going to get back into those after a 2nd baby, right? Dumbass I am. Within 2 months I was back to a size 5 and I was 120 lbs. I lost some more weight after that - I'd just forget to eat.

Yes, you can forget to eat. With 2 munchkins running around.. it happens. I'd sit back and think "when was the last time I ate?.... Tuesday? Monday?". I think my lowest wieght was 105 if I remember right.

Well, one night I was sitting on the edge of the bed in just a bra and the husband stuck his fingers between my ribs.

I knew it was time to do something. I wanted to get back to around 130-140 lbs. Demon #2 is almost 12 years old - it took me this long to get back to 140lbs. I don't know what it's like to try to lose weight, I've never had to worry about what I ate before. But I do know that it's a bitch to try to gain weight.

Yes, I'm back to 140lb. I passed 140lbs.

Two months ago I quit smoking. I was 135lbs. I am now 149lbs.

I guess smoking was my diet.

Now I have to lose 10lbs.

Come on, brat-dogs, we're going for a walk!

Demon's 1st Communion & Earth Day

My girls are having their 1st Communion tonight. They are both pretty excited about it. We are behind on church things because the girls were only baptized last fall. Long story - maybe someday I'll tell ya about it!

I'll take pics & maybe post them tomorrow.
