In the life of a robin

We noticed a nest was made our birch tree in our front yard - on the bottom branch. Didn't take long before we realized it belonged to a robin. I thank this little bird for creating this nest within photographic reach. I can now document the lives of 2 little robins through pictures.

I don't know how many pictures I'll get of her from outside. The one of her is taken through a window.

I looked out a couple times yesterday and when she was away from the nest I snapped a picture inside the nest. I can't see in the nest, but I can reach my camera up to see it that way. The first time I looked, there was 1 egg.

Later yesterday afternoon there was 2. This morning Demon #1 went out and did the picture of the nest check and there is still only 2.

In about 2 weeks I'm hoping to catch newborn babies and then their growing the next weeks after.... I'll be posting them here as I go.

It should be a fun photographic experience!

thats so neat! have fun with it. we have a robins nest but it is way too high to look in it. I found a cracked blue shell on the ground the other day.

Have a great time! I'm not sure about robins, but with mist birds both chicks don't survive. The first one gets more food and general helps the other out of the nest. I'm not trying to be gross, but I thought you'd want to be prepared. Nature is very weird that way...
